Writer’s block: An infographic
I have horrific writer’s block right now. I’m tired, burned out on writing and generally verbally fried. Alan Bleiweiss gave me an amazing idea:

So, thanks to Alan, here it is. All my limited artistic talent focused like a blurry laser beam in a snowstorm on my current nemesis: Writer’s block.
I don’t know. I just don’t know.

Ian, Dude, you’re awesome! I
I thought that I would enter some helpful comments on the 4 top ‘writers block’ queries:
- writer’s block help: you don’t need help – you just queried the internet so use that.
- writer’s block eminem: he doesn’t have it – you do.
- writer’s block wine: drink more.
- writer’s block lyrics: stop thinking you’re a poet or musician and get a real job.
Personally, I think the more you focus on it, the more entrenched it can become.
Try doing something utterly different maybe. Stop worrying about it for a while and see if you get a fresh perspective.
This is why I mow my own lawn.
Charles Schultz: “Only amateurs get writer’s block. Professionals can’t afford it.”
Ian, what software did you use to create the Infographic?
OmniGraffle for OS X. Great program.
Very clever … while I’m not currently suffering writer’s block, I’ve certainly been there. I had to chuckle at the “writer’s block wine” because I have this really funny photo I’ve been wanting to use that’s this woman holding up a sign that says “drink more wine.” My sentiments exactly! Thanks for the inspiration!
