I talk local search for Boomertechtalk

local search tips SEO

Ian Lurie Oct 5 2010

Linda Sherman and co. just launched a new blog called Boomertechtalk. The site offers everything from backup advice to marketing tips.
Linda interviewed me about local search and posted my semi-coherent ramblings on the blog:

If I’m a little incoherent, I’ll note that the previous 48 hours included:

  • Me recovering from King Kamehameha’s Revenge. 2010 was The Year of the Gut Crisis for me.
  • 12 hours later, me spending 2 hours bent over the rail, hurking my guts up, on a ‘sunset cruise’ that involved (no exaggeration) 10+ foot seas and the crew yelling ‘WE MADE IT’ after we got back to shore.
  • Plus, me being out in direct sunlight, which, theoretically, might have caused me to vanish in a screaming puff of smoke.

  1. You were too hard on yourself. That didn’t seem incoherent to me at all.
I took notes and will apply your lessons to our business as usual.
So, now that you have proven you can survive in daylight are you going to go on a bloodsucking rampage during business hours? That might not bode well for productivity…

@Travis Actually it has really made everyone here work harder. Now they know I can swoop in at any moment.

  3. Ian, this video interview was a delightful cornerstone in the Oct 5th launch of Boomer Tech Talk. Thank you!
Ray Gordon created the titles and compiled your video for the web.
Bruce Sallan is writing the article to accompany the video interview you kindly gave me for tech parenting.
So all three partners on BTT are involved and appreciative of your contribution.
