The Rules of the Game (aka How to Apply)
Rule #1: Don’t call us. Don’t ever call us. We’re Internet people! EMAIL.
Rule #2: Email your resume and brief cover letter (Portent’s definition of “brief” = less than two paragraphs) to careers[at]portent.com with “Internship” in the subject line.
Rule #3: The cover letter must include the following:
- An answer to the following question: If you could steal someone’s identity for a day, who would it be? And why?
Rule #4: Misspellings, bad grammar, and made-up words are NOT your friend. There’s no more sure-fire way to land you in the auto-reject pile (well, besides calling – see Rule #1).
Chosen applicants will go through a brief phone screening before an in-office interview and will be required to complete a short writing test as part of the interview process.
The Big Finish
We will demand of our intern the same things we demand of ourselves: creativity, honesty, curiosity, hard work and passion (oh, we’re all about passion here).
This internship will run from June 2013 through September 2013, exact start/finish dates depending on the successful applicant’s school schedule.
