ROI is the amount of money earned or lost compared to how much money was spent. You calculate it by subtracting the cost of investment from gain from investment, dividing that number by cost, and multiplying the result by 100. It is typically expressed as a percentage. In PPC, we use a metric called return on ad spend to gauge ROI.
