The Senior Analytics Strategist owns the discipline-specific strategy for a given client(s). They require no supervision, work directly with clients and Client Partners to complete their work, and often times train team members on their expertise. Senior strategists are equipped to make 'Branch' decisions on a regular basis. They are successful if they are driving channel-specific strategy on client projects while helping their team produce other well-rounded strategists. 

Senior strategists will have extensive client-facing responsibilities.

Senior Strategists will focus on individual accounts with limited oversight, as instructed by the Team Lead.

Reports to: VP, Marketing Services

Position Responsibilities

  • Support the Analytics Team Lead to help execute for clients in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and third-party analytics platforms.

  • Monitor client marketing channels, seek out growth opportunities, optimize cross-channel efforts, and provides expert strategic insight around all marketing goals.

  • Partner with the Team Lead to develop strategic recommendations for cross-channel opportunities, including a/b testing plans, budget forecasting, performance projections, and event tracking.

  • Track, measure, and report on all client work each month via creating and maintaining automated dashboards, partnering with our content, search, and social teams when needed.

  • Build and manage multiple client relationships by serving as the day-to-day contact while proactively engaging on client issues.

  • Assist with new business and client-renewal growth efforts.

  • Share knowledge and experience across the Analytics team and agency through presentations, individual trainings, and leading team trainings.

  • Contribute to the Portent blog and marketing initiatives.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices

Position Requirements & Competencies

  • 4-6 years of Analytics marketing experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or relevant experience

  • Expert working knowledge of major analytics platforms, including analytics suites and paid interfaces.

  • Expert working knowledge of analytics tools, including Adobe Analytics suite (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager), Google Analytics suite (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Google Data Studio), and other third-party analytics platforms.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively interface with senior management and staff.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong client relationships and client service management.

  • Ability to execute on assigned initiatives promptly.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Self-reliant, excellent problem-solver, results-oriented.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments independently to problem solve.
